Studio Pilot
Now in open beta

The command center for audio professionals

Scheduling, projects, clients, and invoicing in one desktop app — built by a working engineer, not a general-purpose project management tool trying to fit your workflow.

Free forever tier · macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel) · No credit card for trial

What it does

Everything a studio actually needs

Built around the workflow of a working mix/master engineer — not a generic CRM pretending to know the audio business.

🎛️

One place for every project

Clients, projects, tasks, calendars, time entries, invoices — all in one app, all on your machine. Stop stitching together Notion, Calendar, Dropbox, Wave, and Google Sheets.

🧠

AI Studio Manager

Chat with an assistant that knows your whole studio. "Block next Friday." "What's overdue?" "Start a revision round for Street Chronicles." It just does it.

🤝

Client portal that actually works

Clients get a link. They see progress, request revisions with timestamps, approve sessions, and pay invoices through Stripe. You get notified instantly.

📅

Calendar that schedules itself

Tell it the work, it finds the time. Respects your work hours, existing blocks, and dependencies. Two-way sync with Google Calendar so nothing slips.

💸

Invoicing built for studios

Nine invoice designs. Line items from completed tasks. Per-song / hourly / flat rates. Export to PDF. Push to Wave if you want bookkeeping.

🔒

Your data stays local

Everything lives in a SQLite database on your Mac. Supabase only holds what's needed for auth and the client portal. Export or delete everything in one click.

Pricing

Simple, honest pricing

No per-seat upcharges. No feature-gated blackmail. Free tier is actually useful. Paid tiers get a 14-day trial with no credit card.

FAQ

Questions you probably have

How is this different from Motion or Notion?+
Studio Pilot is built specifically for audio engineers. Motion schedules tasks but has no concept of stems, revision rounds, client approvals, or studio rates. Notion is a database — you build everything from scratch. Studio Pilot ships with the audio workflow already modeled: projects → stages → tasks → approvals → invoices.
Where does my data live?+
Almost entirely on your computer, in a local SQLite database. We only store the minimum in Supabase to make authentication and the client portal work. You can export everything as JSON or delete your account entirely from Settings → Privacy & Data.
Do I need to bring my own Claude API key?+
No, but you can. Every tier includes AI messages each month. If you want unlimited AI usage, paste your own Anthropic API key in Settings → Subscription and Studio Pilot will bill you directly through Anthropic.
Does it work offline?+
Yes. The core app is a local desktop app — SQLite, scheduling, invoicing, PDF export, everything. Internet is only needed for cloud integrations (Google Calendar sync, Dropbox, AI chat, the client portal).
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Manage your subscription, update your card, or cancel from Settings → Subscription — all handled through Stripe Customer Portal. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period, then degrade to the free tier. Your data stays put either way.
What if I already use Motion / Asana / whatever?+
A Motion importer is on the roadmap. For everything else, CSV import handles clients, projects, and tasks. You can run Studio Pilot alongside your existing tools during migration.
